Waldorf Education Explained on Kootenay Co-op Radio

Dear Families and Friends,
Last Friday I was invited to give an interview on Kootenay Coop Radio with Kim Bater, to speak about our upcoming Open House on Saturday, February 1. The interview turned out to be much more than a promo for the Open House. Kim, who has a background in Early Childhood Education and was previously Chair of the Bow Valley School Board (Banff), asked wide-ranging questions covering the idea of school choice, standardized testing, nature and movement-based learning, and the parallels between Waldorf education and schooling in Finland. Below is a link to the interview.

We are looking forward to a good turnout at the Open House this Saturday, from 10-12:30.
Thank you to the Parent Council for supporting this event, to the teachers and staff who will be taking time from their weekend, and to the members of the Board for their willingness to jump in and help in a myriad of ways.
We encourage anyone considering NWS or new to this school to join us. Indeed, all NWS families are welcome to attend!
On behalf of the Admin. Team and the Faculty, we thank you for your support.
Best wishes, Phil Fertey
