Kindergarten Assistant, Sunflower

Jasmine grew up with her parents and two brothers in a small forested community outside of Nelson. The majority of her childhood was spent outside, playing in the forest surrounding her house, swimming in the nearby creek, hiking and camping with her family and sailing on Kootenay lake, all of which have led to her ongoing love of the outdoors. Jasmine’s family played many instruments and often painted and told stories together which fostered her love of music and creative expression from a young age. During high school Jasmine enjoyed working as a child-minder at the Kootenay Family Place as well as
looking after multiple children in their homes. After graduating from high school, having found joy and fulfillment working with children, Jasmine attended Selkirk College and had her ECCE training along with Literature, Psychology and Social Science classes. Not long after, Jasmine and her partner Brendan had their first child. Jasmine spent the last 9 years raising her two beautiful children in a small forested community outside of Nelson. With both her children now school aged she is overjoyed to be working in the Sunflower Kindergarten at the Nelson
