Sweet Peas Program
Young children learn primarily through the imitation and example of the people and
activities around them. Joyful experiences with parents and
care-givers build a healthy sense of self, and provide a strong
foundation for future social relationships.
This six-week course for parents and their young ones provides parents with practical tools for the task of raising children. The setting is warm, simple, and home-like. The rhythmic flow and creativity of the morning activities enhance the young child’s mental, physical, and emotional development. Over the course of the six weeks, parents discuss child development topics, make beautiful crafts, and learn songs and stories. In addition, a delicious snack is provided. The children see the adults engaged in meaningful activities, while parents have an opportunity to observe the children at play.
