Summer Thoughts of Appreciation!
I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation with Bouquets of Gratitude:
To our dear Class Teachers, Kindergarten and Specialty Teachers, gratitude for the commitment to Waldorf Education. Your dedication to generating an inner enthusiasm for learning within each child is expressed daily through their curriculum delivery and class activities.
To our Early Childhood Educators for your patience and imagination. Thank you for your love, gentleness and play with the young children in your care.
To all the aids and assistants in our classrooms and on the playing fields, your support through your daily work with the children and teachers, is recognized and appreciated.
To our Social Inclusion Teachers, Class 8 students and Parent Group, gratitude and appreciation for your diligence in sharing this approach to a healthy, safe and sharing community environment.
To Keitha Patton, gratitude and appreciation for your dedication and steadfast presence in our School Office. Keitha’s willingness to support and take up those extra duties as required (including bandaging cuts and icing bruises) does not go unnoticed and is so appreciated by children, parents and colleagues.
To Julien Cormier, our school caretaker and caregiver, in recognition of your offers to lend a hand wherever needed and your care for our School, our grounds and our community.
To John Pengelly through the winter snows and spring clean-up of our grounds. John and his handyman skills have kept our lights burning bright, our classrooms warm and our bathrooms functioning.
To our accompanist Caryn Luniw – the talent and joy you bring to our Eurythmy classes and performances enhancing our programs.
To the parents of the Mum’s the Word Hot Lunch program – you fill us with warm, nourishing food, prepared with joy and love – Thank you!
To the Members of our Board of Directors, for your diligence and care expressed through your continuation to maintain and preserve our School’s financial and legal responsibilities and commitments.
To all our parent volunteers for your class efforts, driving and supervising class field trips, for cooking and cleaning, for phoning and organizing class and school events and fundraising. Thank you to those parents who have spent time and energy on the Parent Council that will continue our awareness of the tremendous volunteer work involved in being a parent at the School.
To all those leaving us - parents and teachers - a fond farewell. Our wishes for warm memories of your activities, involvement, joys and challenges met at our School – may your future endeavors be successful as your journey continues.
And last, but not least, all the children who laugh, play, learn, and study. For the education of our children we are brought together, creating and developing this community of families.
May you all have a wonderful summer full of blue skies, warm sunshine, gentle rain, smiling faces and laughter. With the close of our School Year we can recognize that we are blessed with our beautiful facility and all of those who work so diligently to maintain the health and well-being of our School. It is an honour to be a member of this Community.
In appreciation, Beverley Barcham, Administrator
