Tuition per family
Tuition per family is the smaller of the number in the following table and 11% of net income (Canada Revenue Notice of Assessment, Line 236, household total).
| Total Tuition | # Children in Half-day Kin | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 1 | 2 | ||
| # Children in Full-day Kin or Grades 1-8 | 0 | $3,300.00 | $4,950.00 | |
| 1 | $5,875.00 | $7,525.00 | $8,614.00 | |
| 2 | $8,812.50 | $9,901.50 | $10,726.50 | |
| 3 | $10,751.25 | $11,576.25 | ||
| 4 | $12,220.00 | |||
Example: Family with 1 child in Class 5, 1 child in Class 2, and 1 child in Half-day Kindergarten.
Total tuition from table above is $9,901.50, calculated as follows:
1st child (5): 100% x $5,875.00 = $5,875.00
2nd child (2): 50% x $5,875.00 = $2,937.50
3rd child (K): 33% x $3,300.00 = $1,089.00
Total: $9,901.50.
But if, say, the net income on line 236 of the Notice of Assessment for one adult in this family is $21,000 and for their partner it is $9,000, then the total tuition will only be $30,000 multiplied by 11%, which comes to $3,300.
Foreign student fee
$4,600 in addition to tuition fees above (represents provincial funding for Canadian resident students).
Supply fees (per child)
- Kindergarten: $250
- Class 1-3: $385
- Class 4-5: $410
- Class 6-8: $510
Pre-payment Plan for Tuition
A pre-payment plan is available to all families. Pre-payment is based on equal instalment payments to begin in January and to be completed by August 31 of the up-coming School Year (June 15 if requesting early payment discount). All payments are to be by preauthorized credit card withdrawals.
How tuition varies according to family net income
The graphs below show how tuition varies according to family net income. Find the graph for the number of children in Half-day Kindergarten and Grade 1-8, find net income along the bottom of the graph, and read off total tuition on the left-hand side of the graph. If net income places you on the sloped part of the line, you'll pay 11% of your net income. If net income places you on the flat part of the line, you'll pay the tuition number shown (obtained from the table above). For the example family above, we'd look at the graph labelled "1 Kindergarten, 2 Grade 1-8." Since the net income of $30,000 places this family on the sloped part of the line, this family pays 11% of $30,000, or $3,300. They would have to have a net income above $90,000 to be on the flat part of the line and paying the full tuition of $9,901.50.
